The third and final piece of my EP, Modern Adversities, concludes the problems expressed in Rootless (Opus 20) & Desolate (Opus 21) with the solution: to Forgive and Repent.
Forgive and Repent is a piece about the solution to the tragedy of the rootless woman and the desolate man: love, but what is love? As Saint Paisios once said, “[t]o love means to repent and to forgive”[1], hence the title of this piece. Forgiving others of their trespasses and repenting for one’s sins unites one with Christ once again, guiding him to Paradise.
